Meiosis and DNA repair

Location: Friedrich Miescher Laboratories
In the germline programmed double-strand DNA breaks (DSBs) are made to initiate meiotic recombination. Parts of the DNA repair machinery are brought to break sites before breaks occur. This project will build on recent work from the lab and explore the molecular interdependencies and cross-regulation of the meiotic and the DNA repair machineries.
