High-resolution tracking of kinesin motors
Advisor: Erik Schäffer
Location: University of Tübingen
You will work with kinesins and microtubule associated proteins that are involved in transport or cell division. Using purified components and reconstituted assays, you will develop and/or perform label-free tracking, single-molecule localization and/or ultraresolution force measurements using single-molecule fluorescence microscopy, mass photometry, and/or optical tweezers to decipher how these molecular machines fulfil their cellular function.
More information about the research of Erik Schäffer and a selection of recent publications can be found on his faculty page.
